Victor, Not Victim
There’s a subtle lie that tries to settle into our thinking if we’re not careful…
“This is just my life.”
“Things never work out for me.”
“I guess I’m just meant to struggle.”
But that is not the language of someone who knows who they belong to.
God didn’t create you to live defeated.
He didn’t design you to walk through life as a victim of circumstances.
He created you with purpose, on purpose—for good works that carry eternal weight.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” — Ephesians 2:10
Now let’s be clear…
This doesn’t mean life will always be easy.
It doesn’t mean everything will go your way.
And it definitely doesn’t mean you won’t face hard seasons.
Because you will.
A faithful life is not an easy life.
There will be moments that stretch you.
Moments that confuse you.
Moments that make you question everything.
But even there—especially there—God is still working.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good…” — Romans 8:28
Not some things.
Not only the good things.
All things.
The delays.
The disappointments.
The closed doors.
The silent seasons.
None of it is wasted.
God is orchestrating it all with a perspective you can’t yet see.
So instead of asking, “Why is this happening to me?”
Shift your heart to ask, “What is God producing in me?”
Because victims focus on what happened to them…
But victors trust what God is doing through it.
You are never too young.
You are never too old.
And you are never too late.
Even if you don’t know what you’re doing—start anyway.
Even if no one supports you—encourage yourself.
“Why are you cast down, O my soul… Hope in God.” — Psalm 42:11
Speak to yourself.
Remind yourself.
Strengthen yourself.
You are a child of the King.
Which means you don’t wait for perfect conditions—you move in faith.
Stop waiting for everything to line up.
Stop waiting for approval.
Stop waiting for confidence.
Start with what you have.
Start where you are.
Start now.
“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
And this moment?
This right here?
It matters.
You can spend it frustrated…
or you can choose to be fulfilled.
You can sit in what didn’t happen…
or step into what still can.
You are not a victim of your life.
You are a victor through Christ.
Walk like it.
Speak like it.
Live like it.
Because victory isn’t just something you’re hoping for…
It’s who you already are.
Share this with someone who needs to be reminded—they’re not a victim, they’re a victor.
