Father’s Day Series Part 3

The Faithful Father

"The righteous who walks in his integrity—blessed are his children after him."
‍ ‍Proverbs 20:7

Men, the value you bring is irreplaceable.

Father's Day is a dedicated moment to pause and honor the men who help shape our lives. Whether they are biological fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, or spiritual mentors, their influence leaves a lasting imprint on the people they love.

Faithful fathers often don't realize the impact they are making.

They wonder if the long hours are worth it.

They wonder if the sacrifices are noticed.

They wonder if anyone sees the countless rides to practice, the bedtime prayers, the lessons repeated over and over, the bills paid, the discipline that wasn't always appreciated, and the quiet ways they carry the weight of their families.

God sees.

And your families see more than you know.

One day your children will remember that Dad showed up.

They'll remember the games.

They'll remember the prayers.

They'll remember the hugs, the talks in the car, the jokes, the life lessons, and the way you loved their mother.

They'll remember that when life became difficult, you stayed.

You may not feel extraordinary, but your faithfulness is.

Every prayer you pray.

Every lesson you teach.

Every sacrifice you make.

Every moment you choose your family over yourself.

It matters.

You are building something far bigger than a career or a bank account.

You are building people.

You are building memories.

You are building a legacy.

And generations will be blessed because you chose to stay faithful.

Before I close, there are two men I would like to thank personally.

To my father:

No, we don’t have the relationship I once hoped we would have. But you gave me life. You could have encouraged things to go another way, but you didn’t. For that, I am grateful.

Despite the disappointments, I am thankful that through you I gained Mom Too and my siblings. Their love and presence have been gifts in my life.

I still pray our relationship will experience the love, peace, and restoration that only Jesus can provide.

To my husband:

Thank you for being a faithful father to our son. Thank you for teaching him the importance of having a relationship with Jesus. Thank you for demonstrating what it looks like to worship, pray, and follow Christ. Thank you for showing him the value of hard work and responsibility. Thank you for showing up day after day with love and patience.

Your influence is shaping the man he is becoming.

Our son may not fully understand it today, but one day he will look back and realize how blessed he was to have a father who loved him, prayed for him, worked for him, and pointed him to Christ.

And thank you for giving him something neither of us had—a present father.

That gift is priceless.

And to all the faithful fathers—

Thank you.

Thank you for the early mornings and late nights.

Thank you for carrying burdens your families may never fully understand.

Thank you for working when you're tired.

Thank you for showing up when life isn't easy.

Thank you for teaching your children right from wrong.

Thank you for praying over your families.

Thank you for the hard conversations.

Thank you for the hugs.

Thank you for the bedtime stories.

Thank you for making memories.

Thank you for showing up—not just physically, but with intention, wisdom, and love.

One day, your children will look back and realize that the man who worked long hours, drove them to practice, prayed over them, and pointed them to Jesus was giving them far more than a paycheck.

He was giving them himself.

You matter.

You are needed.

You are appreciated.

Your work is holy.

And your legacy will outlive you.

Happy Father's Day.
