Let’s. Get. Busy.

Luke 10:2

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few…”

It is often said in ministry
that 20% of the people do 80% of the work.

I don’t know how accurate that percentage is…
but I do know I’ve been on both sides of it.

I’ve been the worker.
Volunteering.
Giving.
Planning.
Serving.

And I’ve also been the one thinking,
let someone else do it.

But lately, I’ve been seeing Luke 10:2 differently.

Yes, Jesus tells us to pray for more laborers.

But what stands out to me now
is that we all have work to do.

There is something God placed inside of each of us
that can benefit the Kingdom.

Your gift matters.
Your contribution matters.
Your obedience matters.

We sometimes think Kingdom work
only happens behind pulpits or microphones.

But Kingdom work happens anywhere God’s people are willing to serve.

Encouraging others.

Giving.

Helping.

Teaching.

Creating.

Praying.

Supporting.

Showing up.

All of it matters.

I no longer see this verse
as only a plea for more workers.

I now see it as a charge
for believers to get busy.

Because while we are waiting for “someone
to step up and do the work…
God may already be looking at us.

There are people who need hope.
People who need truth.
People who need Jesus.

And what if the answer to someone’s prayer
is connected to your willingness to serve?

So don’t sit on the sidelines convincing yourself you have nothing to offer.

Don’t assume your contribution is too small to matter.

If God gave it to you, He intends to use it.

Throughout scripture, God consistently used willing people.

Not the most impressive.
Not the most polished.

Just available.

May we stop sitting on the sidelines
watching a few people carry the weight.

May we all do our part.

Because there is Kingdom work to be done.

The harvest is too great for believers to stay idle.

The Kingdom moves forward when believers stop spectating and start serving.

Share this with someone who needs the reminder that their contribution to the Kingdom matters.
