Raise Your Hands If You’re Sure

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6 ESV

Paul wrote these words while expressing gratitude for the saints in Philippi and their partnership in the gospel. He had confidence that the same God who began a good work in them would be faithful to complete it.

That’s the kind of confidence we need.

I have a habit of inserting my name into Scripture. It helps me slow down, receive the Word personally, and let the truth settle a little deeper in my heart.

So today, I am inviting you inside of my notebook.

Here’s what it says:

And Neccole is sure.
There is certainty.
I have no doubt.
Nothing can stop it.
What I know to be certain is this:
He who began a good work in Neccole will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

That means delays don’t matter.

Naysayers don’t matter.

Even my sometimes negative mindset doesn’t get the final say.

Because what Jesus begins, Jesus completes.

The work He started in me is not dependent on perfect circumstances. It is not dependent on who approves, who understands, who supports, or who claps. It is not even dependent on whether I always feel confident.

My confidence is not in me.

My confidence is in the One who started the work.

And if He started it, He is faithful enough, powerful enough, and loving enough to finish it.

So today, insert your name into this Scripture.

Say it out loud if you need to.

He who began a good work in [your name] will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Now raise your hands if you’re sure.

After you raise your hands, go ahead and celebrate. And if you haven’t caught on by now, you should be praising!

Because God is not finished with you yet.
