God’s Standards, Not Yours
Sex is not bad. It is a natural, God-given desire created by God Himself. Sex unites two people emotionally, physically, and spiritually, and it was designed specifically for the marriage relationship.
Sex is a big deal to God because He created it. We don't get to redefine what He has already defined. When we attempt to make sex something other than what God intended, the result is often confusion, brokenness, and heartbreak.
Our sexuality matters to God. Scripture tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that we are to honor God with them (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). What we do with our bodies is not merely physical—it is spiritual.
The enemy and our culture work hard to minimize what God takes seriously. They tell us that sex is casual, recreational, and disconnected from commitment. God says otherwise. He designed sex to be protected within the covenant of marriage because He understands its power and purpose.
Don't allow culture to shape your view of sex more than Scripture. Don't allow Satan to pervert what God created to be beautiful.
God has a standard, and He does not adjust that standard to fit our desires. Take what you do with your body seriously because God does.
"Flee from sexual immorality... you are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." — 1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Sex isn't casual to God.
What we do with our bodies matters because our bodies belong to Him. Honor God's design and trust His standard.
